Many credit unions could better serve members with training they find unaffordable. WOCCU matches credit union systems in need with volunteers from developed systems. Virginia volunteers are helping Estonia credit unions offer loans as well as savings to the working poor. Oregon volunteers are teaching Uzbek credit unions how to be examined to ensure savings are safe. Ohio volunteers are helping Bolivians modernize shared branching to decrease robbery as cu members travel home from market.

The Gift

$500 supports a staff person for a half week who develops and coaches both partners to ensure the partnerships are productive. WOCCU's International Partnership Program is run by just two staffers, who leverage thousands of volunteer hours. Volunteers or their credit union leagues pay their own travel and expenses as well, further stretching our budget to top efficiency.
