For every one feral cat in the United States there is one cat companion, bringing the total number of U.S. cats to an excess of 100 million. There are estimated 17.5 million people feeding an estimated 35.2 million feral cats in the U. S. To trap, house, spay or neuter, vaccinate, and feed one feral cat for up to three months can cost up to $260—a worthy cost that greatly reduces feral cat colonies.
