Problem

When major disaster strikes, credit unions, owned by the local members, are often the first institution to respond with basic food, water, blankets for the people. Having funds on hand now mean WOCCU can immediately work through our network of national member organizations, project offices and national credit union foundation to assist while the need is greatest. Several disasters have diminished our disaster relief/rebuilding fund and therefore our ability to respond quickly.

The Gift

Your gift of just $25 can provide basic food and water for a family in a developing country for several days following disaster. With your gift in our disaster relief/rebuilding fund, it will be immediately available when the next disaster strikes, earning interest, and can often be leveraged with fundraising to credit union in the developed world as well.
